Shoal Grass Lodge & Conference Center is a private facility made available by reservation only. We also suggest you book your trip well in advance to ensure you receive the dates you request. Regrettably, we are unable to accept drop-ins, and prefer to accommodate groups of four or more guests. However, if you wish to visit the lodge with a smaller group, please call, as we may have another group in the lodge that will enable us to accommodate a smaller group.

If you want a tour of the facility please call the lodge to arrange an appointment, we will be glad help. Due to the private nature of the facility, please don't plan on dropping by, as there may not be anyone onsite to help you, or there may be a private party in progress. We respect the privacy of all of our guests.

Reservations:
We have several ways for you to make your reservations; call 1-866-758-5307, or email your requested dates to Info@shoalgrasslodge.com.

Payment Policy:

Deposits:

A non-refundable 50% deposit is required to reserve space for your group. A reservations made within 30-days of your arrival date requires full payment within five business days to be guaranteed.

Remaining Balance:

Remaining trip balance is due 30-days prior to your arrival. We accept personal or business checks, VISA, MasterCard, American Express, Discover Card and Diners Club.

Cancellations:

1) All cancellations must be made at least 30 days prior to your scheduled trip. Cancellations made inside 30 days forfeit deposit, and may apply the remainder to a rescheduled date up to one year from original scheduled date.

2) Reservations cancelled with 30 or more days notice, may reschedule for up to one year.

3) Cancellations made 30 or more days prior to trip date that will not be rescheduled will receive a refund less deposit.

4) Although we only receive on average, twenty-nine inches of rain per year, we cannot control or predict when the wind, rain or storms may turn up. We do not cancel trips due to normal weather conditions. We will notify you of any tropical weather we may be having during hurricane season and reschedule your trip for another time. We are unable to offer refunds for cancelled trips due to weather. We will however go out of our way to work with you to reschedule your trip at a time that works for both parties.

5) Fishing guides at Shoal Grass Lodge are contracted on a per trip basis. Due to the nature of the guide business, refunds are only granted when the Captain of the vessel determines conditions are too dangerous to be on the water.

Adjustments:
Due to the nature of our business we are unable to make adjustments for late arrivals, early departures and no shows. We also cannot cancel guide boats once they have been booked into service.

Arrivals & Departures:
Standard arrival time is after 4:00PM, and checkout is before 2:00PM.

• Since we are a private facility, adherence to arrival and check in times is critical to ensuring all guests receive the same level of service.
• Depending on lodge occupancy we CAN accommodate most any scheduled arrival and departure times.
• Arrival and departure times will be agreed upon during the proposal/contract process.

Rates Include the Following:
A room with private bath, use of all lodge amenities, guide and green fees if applicable, and one round trip airport shuttle for the group.

*We appreciate all efforts to schedule group arrivals at Corpus Christi International Airport to coincide with a scheduled lodge pick-up. Arrivals and departures that require more than one trip per group will incur an additional $50.00 per trip.

Rates Do Not Include:
Guide or staff tips, if any.

Tipping:
Employees of Shoal Grass Lodge & Conference Center do not expect tips, and they are not necessary. If you feel you received service that deserves gratuity, please see the lodge manager. Guides, although most own their own business do accept tips, a standard tip is about $10.00 per person fished. This is only an average the range is anywhere from 0 to $100.00 dollars per day.

Children:
Children are always welcome at Shoal Grass Lodge. As a matter of fact, we encourage the indoctrination of all children into the outdoor lifestyle. We will even prepare special meals for our young guests. We do not however have staff members available to watch your children and would ask that we not be held responsible for their action while on the property. With the inherent dangers of being on the water and the open nature of the lodge, we ask that you keep your children under close supervision at all times during your visit.

On site babysitting services may be arranged with advanced notice at an additional charge with an independent contractor.
