Shoal Grass Lodge can arrange for many other activities besides the outstanding hunting, fishing and golf. The bird watching in the area is outstanding, and this is the winter home to the spectacular but endangered Whooping Cranes.

Within 30 miles of the Lodge, there is also the Texas State Aquarium and the Lexington Aircraft Carrier and the Texas Treasure Casino Cruise Ship. The cities of Aransas Pass, Rockport, Port Aransas and Corpus Christifeature a variety of art and crafts shops, restaurants and museums.

Nearby Corpus Christi is also home to The Greyhound Race Track, Botanical Gardens, Art Museum of South Texas and Museum of Science and History (Ships of Christopher Columbus). Arrangements can be made for full service spa and salon visits for Lodge guests.
